Greetings international delegates,
Welcome to the twelfth Global Virtual Model United Nations Conference (GVMUNC), hosted on January 29th, and based in Bridgewater, New Jersey! Join us for the day as we introduce ideas, debate solutions, and finally implement resolutions. Participate in a growing international committee of diplomacy and discussion, and prove your skills as a Model UN delegate.
For this iteration, GVMUN is offering delegates the option between two different committees, ranging from beginner to advanced. They are as follows:
Delegates in this committee will represent all UN member states, and will debate the regulation of private space mining, and addressing the armament of space
This committee is set in the year 2005, and delegates will assume control of various nations as they fight terrorism in an alternate timeline where it grows stronger
Each committee will have three awards, as follows:
Note that a position paper, while not required, is strongly suggested for award eligibility. Delegates must research their topic thoroughly and prepare for the committee. Additionally, make sure to check the UNA-USA rules of procedure (RoP), and reach out to us if you have any questions. The email is: ayushmaan12nov@gmail.com
Additionally, please follow our Instagram @gvmun_official to support us and receive updates.
We hope to see you on January 29th for a day of collaboration, debate, and solutions.
Regards,
Ayushmaan Mukherjee

International delegates,
GVMUN is pleased to announce the seventh iteration of the Global Virtual Model United Nations Essay Competition (GVMUNEC), a contest for aspiring writers and thinkers to share their insight on the world. The competition will be composed of essay submissions from an informed international audience looking to spark change in the world. The ideas in each essay should bring a fresh, new perspective to international relations and policymaking.
How should the United Nations adapt its peacekeeping framework to address modern hybrid warfare and private military actors?
Should the global community recognize access to digital connectivity as a fundamental human right?
They will need to write and submit a 600-800 word essay answering one of the prompts. Submission applications will be open on September 15th, 2025 Please attach your essay as a PDF under the position paper section with the following title format: [Name] - [Topic Number] - [Word Count]. All essays should use a Times New Roman size 12 font. Essays that do not meet all of the previous requirements will not be considered.
A works cited page is highly recommended, but not required, unless a paper has citations, in which case a works cited becomes mandatory.
February 14th is the deadline, although participants are strongly encouraged to submit their essays as early as they can.
After the submissions have been reviewed, the top three essays from each category will receive recognition through awards and posts on our social media platforms, such as Instagram and LinkedIn. Winners will also gain the opportunity to become GVMUN Interns to work with our team.
